Crown inlays are an alternative solution to traditional fillings and the procedure takes two visits. Perfect bite match and excellent aesthetic result are their most important advantages.
During the first visit the enamel surface is removed, then the so called impression is taken. After that patient together with the dentist match the shade and discuss any other marks or stain to make sure they will look natural.
The impression and information about the shade is sent to our in-home laboratory. Our dental technician prepares a plaster cast of patient's dentition on which they shape the veneers on the teeth with porcelain or composite materials. Such a veneer resembles a block ready to be held in place by a special strong bond.
During the second visit the veneer is glued to the surface of a given tooth and finally the bite is matched.
Crown inlays are more time consuming than simple fillings (they require an additional visit) but they are worth their perfect outcome and will not disappoint even the most demanding patients.
