Professor Braenemark's discovery of a process called osteointegration in 1952 started a great development in modern implantology. This phenomenon creates a lasting connection between a living bone and a foreign body, i.e. the dental implant made of titanium. The current state of medical knowledge allows the stomatologists to modify the surface of an implant with various methods, and therefore minimizing the risk of failure and shortening the time for osteointegration to take place.

The traditional partial and full acrylic dentures often feel loose or they slip because of anatomic conditions or weak adjacent teeth.

Dentures with ball anchors are an alternative solution. They are advised when at least one or a few healthy teeth are remaining in a particular location. After their preparation, ball anchors are being inserted, what considerably improves the fitting of your denture.

Such a denture is a perfect solution diminishing the disadvantageous strains as in case of traditional dentures.
